Mrs. Joseph A. Faucheux, nee Louise Schexneydre and a native of this parish, 
died at Torras in Pointe Coupee parish on Saturday, the 11. Mrs. Faucheux 
had been sick for some time before her demise and she bore her sufferings 
with Christian fortitude and resignation. She was a daughter of the late 
Octave Schexneydre, a well known planter of Edgard. Her husband is now 
managing a large farm at Torras for Mr. George Keller, of New Orleans.

Mrs. Faucheux' remains were conveyed to Edgard on Sunday Morning via the 
Texas and Pacific Route, the funeral ceremonies being conducted by Father 
Richard at the St. John the Baptist Church. To the bereaved families the 
"Meschacebe" proffers (sic) it sympathy.
