He was the husband of the late Corinne Lowry Abreo and father of Kathleen Rice, Elinor Darnell, Lois Collier and Jefferson and William Abreo Jr. He was the son of the late Leon Sr. and Margaret Badeaux Abreo and brother of Helen Haydel, John Earl Abreo and the late Marguerite Ristrophe and Vernell and Leon Abreo Jr. He is survived by 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services were Nov. 2 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Gramercy, with private interment. ANTHONY KILLONA - Mildred "Matee" Anthony, 70, a native and resident of Killona, died Oct. 27. She was mother of Alvin Jupiter, Wardell Strickland, Bertrand Jupiter, Willie Strickland, Barbara White, Inette London, Berley Gilbert and Shirley Jupiter and sister of Corrine Woods. She was the daughter of the late Stella Landry and Joshua Anthony. She is survived by 36 grandchildren and 14 great-granchildren. Burden, 79, a native of Livingston and resident of Gramercy, died Oct. 26. She was the wife of the late Eddie Burden and mother of Edward Moton. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Brown Payne and sister of Dora Ford, Florence Payne and the late Gertrude Oubre, Melvina Hall, Olivia Cureau, Sara Tureaud and Louis, Aaron, George and Daniel Payne. MURRAY GRAMERCY - Thomas Michael "Tom" Murray, 52, a native of International Falls, Minn., and resident of Gramercy, died Oct. 30. He was the husband of Joan Zeringue Murray and father of Tara Holley; Jessica and Nicholas Slie; and Dustin and Tyler Murray. He was the son of Jack and Donna Mohs and brother of Patty Christensen and Cathy, Jim, John, Terry, Ron and David Murray. He is survived by three grandchildren. He was a U.S. Customs inspector. He was also a coach of the Gramercy Swim Team and Lutcher High School Swim Team.
