She was also the daughter of the late Rev. J.J. Farlough Sr. and Sedonia Farlough and sister of Harding, Cleveland Sr., Eldridge, Harold Sr., Naylan, Warren, Joseph Farlough Jr. and the late Thelma Williams and Herman Farlough. BRANCH NEW ORLEANS - Alex M. "Myrtle Lee" Branch, 98, a native of Ama and resident of New Orleans for many years, died June 28. She was the sister of Ruby LeBeauf and Bernard Lee. Services were held July 2 in the chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Providence Memorial Park. FERGUSON METAIRIE - Lavra Paz Ferguson, 54, a native of Ecuador and resident of LaPlace for 30 years, died June 26. She was the mother of Joseph Ferguson. She was also the daughter of Leonor Varas Davis and sister of Vincent Paz. She is also survived by one grandchild. She was a tax consultant with H&R Block. Services were June 30 in the chapel of Lake Lawn Funeral Home, Metairie, with private interment. JOHNSON MARRERO - Kim Chauffe Johnson, 43, a native of Gretna and resident of Destrehan for two years, died July 1. She was the mother of Randi, Kelli and Leslie Wood. She was also the daughter of Gerald and Audrey Bush Chauffe and sister of Curt and Cary Chauffe. She was a legal secretary. Services were July 3 in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, Marrero, with interment at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. MICHEL MARRERO - Noelle Vicknair Michel, 69, a native of Edgard and resident of Marrero, died June 28. She was the wife of the late Anthony "Tony" Michel Sr. and mother of Antoinette Pennino, Gwendolyn Andal, Toniann Fink and Tony Michel Jr. She was also the daughter of the late Zephryain and Dora Tabor Vicknair and sister of Annabelle Grabert, Earline Larousse, Doris Guillot, Jeanette Deocampo, Dora Ann Newsom, Raul, Wallace, Nelson and Zephryain Vicknair Jr. and the late Lillian Keating and Melvin Vicknair. She is also survived by six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild. PERRILLOUX RESERVE - Joseph Luma Perrilloux, 81, a native and resident of Reserve, died July 1. He was the husband of Ella Perrilloux and father of Bessie Anderson, Paulette Jones, Sylvia McLaurin, Wanda Giles, Gwendolyn Mills and Jerome and Melvin Perrilloux. He was also the son of the late Wilfred Sr. and Virginia Lawrence Perrilloux and brother of Myrtle Davis, Edward Sr. and Frank Perrilloux Sr. and the late Mary Louise Cook and Virginia, Elmo and Wilfred Perrilloux Jr. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by three grandchildren. He was the owner of Perrilloux's Auto Repair. STEELE LAPLACE - Matthew Charles Steele, 16, a native and resident of LaPlace, died July 1. He was the son of Maryellen Robert Steele and the late Gerald "Jerry" Steele and brother of Christopher Steele. Visitation starts at 9 a.m. THOMPSON LAPLACE - Dale Ray Thompson, 58, a resident of Norco, died June 24. He was the father of Melanie St. Pierre and Crissy and Michael Thompson. Airy and resident of Destrehan, died June 30. He was the husband of Irma Cecile St. P‚ Troxclair and father of Joyce Marino, Linda Vicknair and Robert and James Troxclair. He was also the son of the late Urbin and Marie Pollet Troxclair and brother of Irma Triche. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren. He was a retired residential building contractor. VIGURIE METAIRIE - Chester Joseph Vigurie, 74, a native of New Orleans and resident of Destrehan for 25 years, died July 1. COOK Colbert Cook Sr., 68, a native of Tylertown, Miss., and resident of LaPlace for the past 36 years, died July 1. He was the husband of Mae Verdon Cook and father of Caroll Faucheaux and Colbert Jr., George and Richard Cook. He was the brother of Flossie Mason. He is also survived by seven grandchildren. He was a minister and elder at LaPlace Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and a retired owner of Cook's Vinyl Repair. She was also the daughter of the late Ernest Sr. and Adrianne Pye Edwards and sister of Florence Borne, Dorothy Bold, Agnes Johnson, Josepha Gauthier and Ernest Jr., Henry, Raymond and the late Richard and Mitchell Edwards. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired operator with St. James Sugar Co-Op. FORSYTH GRAMERCY - Russell Francis Forsyth, a native of Paulina and resident of Gramercy for 48 years, died July 3. He was the son of the late Brooks Sr. and Louise Brignac Forsyth and brother of Myrtis Sherman, Ethel Kraus, Virgin Deroche, Noemie St. Pie0re and the late Brooks Jr. and Norman Forsyth. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, retiree from Colonial Sugars and lifetime member of the St. James Boat Club.
