He was the husband of Geraldine Bordelon Berthelot and father of Diana Rome, Anette Simon and Andrew and Alvin Berthelot Jr. He was also the son of Fortune and Blanche Roussel Berthelot and brother of the late Mildred Louque, Marjorie Ory, Blanche Baham and Felice, Anicet, Dalton and Roger Berthelot. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild. Services were Feb. 2 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy. BOLDEN DES ALLEMANDS - Elizabeth Bolden, 84, a resident of Des Allemands, died Jan. 27. She was the mother of Bertha Hill. Cambre, 72, a native of St. James Parish and resident of Garyville, died Jan. 30. GRAVOIS VACHERIE - Jean Paul Gravois, 84, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Jan. 29. He was the husband of Helen Reulet Gravois and father of Lael Zeringue, Mary Bode, Margaret Perret and Colin, Jude and the late Judith and Jean Paul Gravois Jr. He was also the son of the late Ernest and Berthe Rodrigue Gravois and brother of Therese Oubre, Antoine and Leonard Gravois and the late Aline Rodrigue, Elizabeth Becnel, Marie Falgoust, Angele Steib, Claire Hirsch and Henrietta, Louis, Joseph and Augustin Gravois. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. He was a founding member of Vacherie Volunteer Fire Department, former member of the St. James Parish School Board for 18 years and member of Knights of Columbus Council 1514. JAMES - Ralph Joseph Plaisance, 71, a native of New Orleans and resident of Vacherie for 35 years, died Jan. 25. He was the father of Karen Freeman-Day, Sandra Campbell and Michael and Dale Plaisance. He was a U.S. Army veteran, retired principal of Sixth Ward Elementary School in Vacherie and member of the Martin Luther King Scholarship Organization and Louisiana Association of School Executives. Reeves, 66, a native of Oliney, Texas, longtime resident of St. John Parish and resident of Waskim, died Jan. 19. He was the father of Michael and Gary Reeves. She was the wife of Rudolph Richardson and mother of Serena, Rudolph and Edwin Richardson. BOURGEOIS KENNER - Gilbert "Gilly" Bourgeois, 65, a native of Gramercy and resident of Destrehan for 42 years, died Feb. 17.
