Mrs. Chacheré died at her home in St. Landry parish in 1873. In 1874 Mr. Chacheré married Lucinda Bacon, daughter of Joseph Bacon. They became the parents of three children: Nale, Rosa and Irene. Mr. Chacheré owns a good plantation of about three hundred acres, upon which he raises a variety of products, chiefly corn and cotton.
