Adolphe Fall (I) and Marie Coralie Leger’s son, Adolphe (II) 
was born June 4, 1861 and married Marie Civilia Fall, his first cousin, 
on February 7, 1882 by civil ceremony. His godparents were 
Jean Baptiste Leger and Therese Noel (his step-grandmother). 
Marie Civilia Fall was born January 19, 1865 to Volmont Fall and 
Marie Azalie Thibodeaux. Their marriage license was issued by 
Dept. Clerk B. F. Meginley. Dosite Leger, Marie Coralie’s father, 
witnessed the marriage and he and Adolphe both made their mark on the bond. 
The church records the marriage as 2-16-1881 with T. F. Abbadie performing 
the ceremony. Edgar Fall, her brother, Joseph Adam Benoit, and Cesaire Miller 
were witnesses. The 1910 Census shows Adolphe (II) and Marie Civilia living 
in Acadia Parish.  Adolphe was 49 years old and Civilia was 45, still 
living at home were eleven of their children.  Adolphe died September 4, 1937 
in Church Point of a heart attack. On the records of the birth of Adolphe and 
Civilia’s children, their last name is spelled FALL except the youngest two, 
whose names are spelled FAUL. Most all of their children chose to spell their 
names FAUL. After Marie Civilia died on 11-10-1921, Adolphe remarried 
Formos Breaux (sometimes listed as Brown), who was the widow of Leurent Oliver, 
on May 12, 1923. They were both residents of Church Point, Louisiana, and 
were married at the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Adolphe was 
62 years old and Formose was 47. Witnessing the ceremony was: 
Andris Thibodeaux, Adeal Matte, and Lendrides B____. They had no children.
