Gaspard Belliargas and Mr. Belliard To Moses Littell
Sale of Land
Recorded 30th of June 1836

This deed of Sale made this thirtieth day of June one thousand eight hundred
and thirty six between John Louis Bellard & Gaspard Belleargas of the State of
Louisiana & County of Opelousas of one part & Moses Littell of the same State
& Parish of the other part Witnesseth.  That for & in Consideration of the
price & sum of Five hundred dollars cash in hand paid the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged the said Bellard and Belleargas have bargained & sold & do
by this act grant, bargain, sell, alien convey set over and deliver unto him
the said Littell, a certain tract or parcel of Land in the County of Opelousas
known as the South East quarter of Section numbered twenty four, Township
number three South range number four East containing one hundred and sixty
three 22/100 acres being the same tract formerly assigned by said Bellard &
Belleargas to said Littell & entered by him on the 8th June 1836 as appears by
Receivers Receipt No. 1479.  To have & to hold said tract of land to him the
said Littell, his heirs &* assigns free from the lawful claims of all persons
claiming by through or under them the said Bellard & Belleargas. The purchaser
dispenses with the certificate required by the 3328th Article of the Louisiana
Code.  In testimony whereof the said parties have hereunto signed at Opelousas
in presence of Caleb Green Jr. and Benoit Debaillon & before George King
Parish Judge & ex-officio Notary Public in & for the said parish the day &
Year first above written.
