CONFIRMATION OF LAND SALE MAGDELEINE BOURASSA TO SIMON MATTE
St. Landry parish Courthouse Conveyance Book J, No. 470, Dated 13 November 1840.
About_____years ago the late Charles Chiasson sold to his son-in-law, Simon 
Matte land located on the west side of Bayou Plaquemine Brulee bounded on 
the lower side by land now belonging to Cyrille Thibodeaux.  Land is 4 
arpents front by 40 arpents depth was sold for $120.00.  This land is 
part of a tract that was purchased originally by Charles Chiasson from
the  estate of Basil Chiasson, which said land was confirmed on 
Certificate B, No. 1007 dated 28  June 1811.
