Susan Burns widow Fruge and Antoine Fruge to  Benj H. Linton & Wilson Robert
Sale of Land
Recorded 22nd June 1836

This act of sale made this twenty second day of June in the Year one thousand
eight hundred and thirty six between Susan Burns, widow of Pierre Fruge and
Antoine Fruge, both of the State of Louisiana and County of Opelousas of the
one part & Benjamin F. Linton & Wilson Cook Robert of the same State and
County of the other part witnesseth-That for and in Consideration of the price
& sum of Two Hundred & fifty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged the said Susan Burns, Widow Fruge & Antoine Fruge, have
bargained & sold and do by this public act grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey
set over & deliver unto them the said Linton & Robert a certain tract or
parcel of land supposed to be in the limits of the County of Opelousas
aforesaid, being the West half of the South West quarter of Section number
twenty nine, and also another tract of Land being the East half of the north
West quarter of Section number thirty two South in Township Three South of
Range five East,  containing on hundred & sixty eighteen hundredths acres more
or less  The whole being as per receiver's Certificate No. 133.  To have and
to hold the above described tracts of land to them the said Linton & Robert
forever. And the said Widow Fruge & Antoine Fruge the titles to the said
tracts of land, together with all their privileges & appurtenances to them the
said Linton & Robert do hereby warrant and will forever defend.  The
purchasers dispense with the certificate required by the 3328th Article of the
Louisiana Code.  In testimony whereof the said parties have hereunto signed in
presence of Philip -- Bridendall & Daniel McDaniel competent  Witnesses &
before George King Parish Judge in and for the parish of St. Landry the day &
year above written.
