Francis To Moses Littell Sale of Land Recorded 3rd August 1836 This act of sale made this third day of August One thousand eight hundred and thirty six between Alexandre Duhon and John Francois of the State of Louisiana and County of Opelousas of the one part and Moses Littell of the same State and County of Opelousas of the other part Witnessseth that for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars Cash in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Duhon & Francois have bargained & sold & do by this act grant bargain sell alien set over & deliver to Moses Littell aforesaid a tract of land situated in the S. W. District of Louisiana being the East half of South East quarter of Section No. nineteen & the West half of the North West quarter of Section No. thirty One in township No. three South of Range No. Five East containing one hundred & sixty one 33/100 acres as per Registers certificate No. 1626, being the same land heretofore transfered [sic] to said Littell by said Duhon & Francis. To have and to hold said tract of land to the said Littell his heirs & assigns free from the lawful claims of all persons whatever. The purchaser dispenses with the certificate required by the 3328th Article of the Louisiana Code. In testimony whereof the said parties have hereunto signed in presence of Christopher Steel & John B.
