Norbert Lanclos To Cyprien Lalonde  
Sale of Land
Recorded 27 June 1836

This Deed made the twenty seventh day of June in the Year one thousand eight
hundred and thirty six between Norbert Lanclos of the State of Louisiana and
Parish of St. Landry of the one part and Cyprien Lalonde of the same State and
Parish aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth, that for and in consideration
of the sum of one hundred and fifteen dollars Cash in hand paid the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said Norbet Lanclos has bargained and
sold and does by this act grant, bargain, sell, set over, alien confirm &
deliver unto him the said Cyprien Lalonde a certain tract or parcel of land
situated in the aforesaid parish and lying in the Prairie Gros Chevruil
bounded on the West by land of Alexandre Lanclos fils, on the East by land of
George Lalonde, on the North by Francois Pacoud and the South by the sellor
[sic], having five and an half arpens front on the line of the seller by nine
arpens and three feet in  depth.  To have and to hold the said tract of or
parcel of Land to him the said Cyprien Lalonde his heirs, executors
administrators and assigns forever.  And the said Norbert Lanclos for himself
his heirs, &c. the tract of land so described as aforesaid with all and
singular its appurtenances against the lawful claims of all persons whatever
to him the said Cyprien Lalonde his heirs & assigns does warrant and will
forever defend.  The purchaser dispenses with the certificate required by the
3328th Article of the Louisiana Code.  In testimony whereof the parties have
hereunto signed the purchaser by making his ordinary mark not knowing how to
write in presence of Benoist Debaillon & Emil Begron competent Witness and
before George King parish Judge in & for the aforesaid parish of St. Landry at
Opelousas the day and Year above written.
