Lejeune & Moses Littell Sale of Land Recorded 1st August 1836 This deed made this thirtieth day of July One thousand eight hundred and thirty six between Jean Bt. Blaze Lejune & Lussuin Lejeune of the State of Louisiana & Parish of St. Landry of the One part and Moses Littell of the same State & Parish of the other part Witnesseth, That for & in consideration of the price & sum of five hundred dollars cash in hand paid the receipt of whereof is acknowledged the said Jean Bt. Blaze and Lussain have bargained & sold & do by this act grant bargain sell alien convey, set over and deliver to him the said Littell a certain tract of Land situated in the Parish of Avoyelles known as the East half & West half of the South East quarter of the Section numbered twenty one in the Township number One North of Range five East being the same tract conveyed to the said Littell by assignment & entered by him at the Land office in Opelousas on the 16th day of Febuary [sic] 1836, as appears by the Register's certificate No. 96, containing One hundred & fifty nine 50/100 acres more or less. To have & to hold the said tract of land with all its privileges & appurtenances to him the said Littell his heirs & assigns free from the lawful claims of all persons claiming by through under them the said Jean Bt. Blaze & Lussain, The purchaser dispenses with the certificate required by the 3328th Article of the Louisiana Code. In testimony whereof the said parties have hereunto signed in presence of Christopher Steel & John Bt.
