Moses Littell to John M. Jewell
Sale of Land
Recorded 35 [sic] June 1836

This deed of Sale made this thirtieth day of June in the Year one thousand
eight hundred and thirty six between Moses Littell of the State of Louisiana
and Parish of St. Landry of the one part & John M. Jewell of the same State &
Parish of the other part  Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the price
& sum of Two hundred dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged, the said Littell has bargained & sold & does by this act
grant, bargain, sell, alien, confirm, convey & deliver unto him the said
Jewell, a certain Tract of land known & described as the East half of the
South East quarter of Section numbered nineteen in Township Three South of
Range Five East containing about eighty and an half acres more or less, being
the same purchased by said Littell as assignee of Alexander Duhon & John
Francis, as per Receivers certificate No. 1626.
To have and to hold the said tract of Land with all & singular its privileges
& improvements to him the said Jewell his heirs & assigns forever. With
guarantee of title against the lawful claims of all persons claiming by
through or under him the said Littell & no farther.  The purchaser dispenses
with the certificate required by the 3328th Article of the Louisiana Code.  In
testimony whereof the said parties have hereunto signed in presence of Caleb
Green Jr. and Bt. Debaillon competent Witness & before George King Parish
Judge & ex-officio Notary Public in & for said Parish of St. Landry the day &
