All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Joseph Oliver and Auguste Fruge to Wilson Robert Sale of Land Recorded 30th June 1836 This act of Sale made this thirtieth day of June One thousand eight hundred and thirty six, between Joseph Oliver and Auguste Pierre Fruge of the State of La. and County of Opelousas of the one part & Wilson Cook Robert of the same State and County of the other part Witnesseth. That for and in Consideration of the price and sum of Three hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is acknowledged the said Oliver and Fruge have bargained and sold and do by this Public act, grant bargain, sell alien convey set over and deliver unto him the said Robert a certain tract or parcel of land supposed to be in the limits of the County of Opelousas aforesaid being the East half of the North East quarter of Section No. Twenty Three and also another tract of land being the West half of the North West quarter of Section numbered Twenty Four, both in Township Four South of Range Five East containing One hundred and Sixty acres more or less, the whole being as per Receivers receipt No. 1089 & 1088. To have and to hold the above described tracts of land to him the said W. C. Robert forever. And the said Oliver and Fruge the titles to the said tracts of land together with their privaleges [sic] and improvements to him the said Robert do hereby Warrant and will forever defend. The purchaser dispenses with the certificate required by the 3328th Article of the Louisiana Code. In testimony whereof the parties have hereunto signed in presence of Philip Bridendall & Daniel McDaniel competent Witnesses and before George King parish Judge in and for the Parish of St. Landry the day and date above written.
