INSPECTOR OF DROVES ST. LANDRY PARISH 1812  Minutes 
of St. Landry Parish Jury 16 April 1812  This article is long 
but very interesting. I did not record the entire document.  
Evidently there is a problem with cattle rustling in this area.  
This list is an appointment of directors to inspect brands on 
cattle leaving the county heading in the direction of Natchez, 
Natchitoches, Rapides and Pointe Coupee.
