The public are hereby informed that there will be sold, at public sale, to the last and highest bidder, by the undersigned, at the last residence of the late George W. Addison, late of the Parish of St. Landry, in the Town of Opelousas, On Friday, the 11th February next, and the following day, if necessary, all the property hereinafter described, belonging to the Estate of said late Geo. W. Addison, to wit: A LOT OF GROUND, situated in the Town of Opelousas, fronting on Landry Street, bounded on the North by the property belonging to William Mason, on the West by property belonging to Mrs. Larochette, on the South by said Landry Street, and on the East by _______ Street, together with all and singular the Buildings & Improvements thereon erected, being the last residence of said deceased. A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND, situate in the Parish of St. Landry, on what is called Elm Bayou, being the East half of the South-East Quarter of Secction No. thirty-two, in Township No. one, South of the 31st degree of North latitude of Range No. two East of the basis Meridian, containing seventy-nine acres and 71 hundreths, and also the West half of the South-East Quarter of the aforesaid Section, Township &c. &c. containing also seventy-nine acres & 71 hundreths, making in all one hundred and fifty-nine and 42 hundreths superficial acres. SIX SLAVES, of both sexes and different ages. Two horses, one mule, one old Barouche, one old Buggy, one horse cart, the printerials of the Opelousas Gazette, consisting in presses, type, cases, stands &c., one Armoir one clock, bed and bedding, household furniture, kitchen utensils, and great many other articles too tedious to enumerate. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: ---- Payable in three equal annual instalments, from the 1st day of April next; that is to say: one third payable on the first day of April 1854, one third on the 1st day of April 1855, and the last third on the 1st day of April 1856; purchasers furnishing good and sufficient security in solido; and all sums not punctually paid at maturity to bear interest at the rate of 8 per centum per annum from time due until paid. And moreover the property subject to mortgage remaining specially hypothecated unto the Estate, until full and entire payment of the principal and interest which may accrue thereon. R.
