SHERRIF'S SALE
State of Louisiana

Edward J. Heard vs. M. M. & C. C. Preston, District Court, St. Landry, No. 5898
James G. Fitzgerald vs. M. M. Preston, District Court, St. Landry, No. 5912

By virtue of a writ of fi. fa. and a writ of alias fi. fa., issued in the above
entitled suits, by the District Court in and for the Parish of St. Landry, and
to me directed, will be exposed to public sale, for cash at the Court House of
this Parish, on Saturday the 2d day of April 1853, commencing at the hour of 11
o'clock, A. M., and from day to day, if necessary, all the right, title,
interest and demand of M. M. and C. C. Preston, in and to the following
property, seized to satisfy said writ, to wit:

A negro man griffe, named Willis, aged 45 years.
