November 28, 1863, Page 1 November 28, 1863 Public Sale. Estate of Keon Charles Pitre, deceased. By virtue of an order from the District Court for the Parish of St. Landry, there will be sold at public sale, to the last and highest bidder, at the last residence of Leon Charles Pitre, deceased, at l'Anse a la Chaudiere, in this Parish, through the ministry of a competent officer, on Wednesday, 30th December next, 1863, the following described property, belonging to the Estate of said Leon Charles Pitre, deceased, to wit: About twenty head of horned cattle; 2 yoke of work oxen; 7 head of horse creatures; A fine colt; 3 work horses; A small lot of wild cattle; Aratory implements; household furniture; kitchen utensils, and many other articles. Terms and Conditions: - One-half of the purchase money payable on the 1st of April 1865, and the remaining half payable on the 1st of April, following, 1866. Purchasers furnishing good and solvent security, to the satisfaction of whom the right, and all sums not punctually paid at maturity, bearing interest at 8 per cent. per annum from time due until paid.
