SHERRIF'S SALE
STATE OF LOUISIANA

William B. Lewis, tutor &c, & als. vs Clarissa Lewis in her own right as tutrix
to her minor children -- 

District Court --- St. Landry --- No. 5824,

By virtue of an order of the District Court in and for the Parish of St. Landry
and State of Louisiana, and to me directed, in the above entitled suit, will be
offered, at public aution for cash, at the Court House of this Parish, on
Saturday the fifth day of March 1853, commencing at the hour of 11 o'clock A.
M., and continued from day to day, if necessary, the following described
property, now in the possession of the defendant.  Said property subject to the
tacit mortgage of plaintiffs, and was purchased by the late John M. Jewell, at
Sheriff's sale, on the 10th day of January 1843, to wit:

The lots Nos. 1, 2, 6, 7, of township No. 4 South of Range 7 East, containing
one hundred and fifty-tow 25-100 acres.
