Sheriff's Sale
State of Louisiana

In matter of Succession of Manette Duplessis, deceased --- Sixth District Court
--- Parish of West Baton Rouge -- No. 427.

By virtue of an order of the Honorable Sixth District Court, in and for the
Parish of West Baton Rouge and State of Louisiana, & to me directed in the above
entitled suit, will be offered at public auction, at the Court House of this
Parish, on Saturday the fifth day of March 1853, commencing at the hour of 11
o'clock A. M., and continued from day to day, if necessary, the following
described property belonging to the succession of Manette Duplessie, deceased,
inventoried and appraised as follows, to wit:

The sixth share of a Tract of Land, situated in the Parish of St. Landry, said
State, on the right descending bank of Bayou Courtableau, containing about three
hundred arpents (superficial) more or less, bounded in the rear by Bayou Carron,
and on the one side by land  of the heirs of Vedrine, known as McGarry or
Vedrine Land, (said land is inventoried as belonging in part to the estate of
Manette Duplessis, deceased wife of Jacques Blanchard [)].

Terms of sale --- Cash for the one sixth of said undivided share; for the
remaining five sixths, a credit of six and twelve months will be given, payable
in two equal instalments; purchasers to furnish security to the satisfaction of
the administrator or his attorney in fact.
