The Opelousas Courier May 22, 1880
Mr. Demetrius Potier died in Grand Coteau last Tuesday morning, aged about 35 
years, leaving a wife and seven children. Deceased was a brother-in-law of 
Mentor Andrus, Esq., and a truly good and exemplary citizen.
