The public are hereby informed that there will be sold at public sale, to the last and highest bidder, at the last residence of the late Philippe Larose Fontenot, dec'd. in Old Grande Prairie, in the Parish of St. Landry, On Monday, 15th February next, 1858, the following described property belonging to the community heretofore existing between the said Philippe Larose Fontenot and his surviving widow, to-wit: A Tract of Land, situated in Old Grand Prairie, coataining about six hundred superficial arpents, bounded North by public lands, South by Cyprien Larose Fontenot, East by lands of the plantation reserved by the widow of said Philippe Larose Fontenot, and West by lands of the same plantation. ANOTHER TRACT OF LAND, also situated in Old Grand Prairie, measuring likewise about six hundred superficial arpents, bounded on the North by Public Domain, on the South by the lands of Cyprien Larose Fontenot, on the East by Alexandre Larose Fontenot, and on the West by the tract of land first described. 17 SLAVES OF BOTH SEXES AND OF DIFFERENT AGES. Two yoke of work oxen, 19 work and saddle horses, a lot of hogs, an ox cart, plantation implements, and many other articles the enumeration of which would be too tedious. Terms and conditions:- All sums of ten dollars and under, payable on the 1st April 1859, and all sums above ten dollars, payable in two equal terms, the first on the 1st April 1859, and the second on the 1st of April following, 1860; and all sums not punctually paid at maturity to bear interest at the rate of 8 per cent per annum from time due. Purchasers furnishing two solidary security to the satisfaction of the Administrators of said estate, and moreover the lands and slaves remaining specially mortgaged unto the Estate until full and entire payment of capital and interests that may accrue thereon.
