March 25, 1854, Page 1 March 25, 1854 Public Sale. Estate of Philippe Andrepont and his wife, Meline Pitre, both deceased. The public are hereby informed that there will be sold at public sale to the last and highest bidder, by the undersigned, public auctioneer, in and for the parish of St. Landry, at the last residence of the deceased, in Prairie Plaisance, in this Parish, on Wednesday, the 29th March next, 1854; the following described property belonging to the Estate of the late Philippe Andrepont and his wife Meline Pitre, both deceased, to wit: THE PLANTATION where the deceased last resided, situated in the Quartier de Plaisance, in the Parish of St. Landry, containing about one hundred and sixty- seven superficial arpents of land, bounded West by land of Durel Dupre, North by James H. Thompson and Louis Debaillon, East by land of Israel Vasseur, and South by land of Durel Dupre, together with the BUILDINGS AND IMPROVEMENTS thereon erected and thereto belonging. A TRACT OF WOOD LAND, situated in the same Parish, measuring 60 superficial arpents (more or less) bounded North by Bayou Grand Louis, South by land of P. Mouille, East by Alexander Deville, and West by said Bayou. A NEGROMAN, named Janvier, aged about 22 years. 15 head of gentle horned cattle, one pair of work oxen, 3 work horses, four mares and their colts, a lot of hogs, an ox cart, one calash, plantation implements, household furniture, kitchen utensils and many other articles the enumeration of which would be too tedious. Terms and conditions. - One half payable on the first of April 1855, and the other half payable on the 1st of April following, 1856.
