Born Eula Henry on Sept. 12, 1936, Sister Claudette entered the Marianites of Holy Cross on Aug. 10, 1938, and took her final vows on Aug. 10, 1941. A teacher all during her religious life, Sister Claudette taught elementary school at Holy Name of Mary, Holy Angels, St. Rita and St. Joseph schools in New Orleans. She then taught at high schools in Opelousas, Plaquemine, Lake Charles, Eunice, Morgan City and Franklin, where she spent the last eight years of her active life. In 1981, Sister Claudette transferred to Our Lady of the Holy Cross in New Orleans, where she rendered community service and was in charge of the Marianite Guild. In 1995, she moved to Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas, where she resided until her death. Survivors include two sisters, Orita Duhon and Gladys Louviere; three brothers, Rufus, Percy and Gilbert Henry; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Vidrine, a resident of Opelousas, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 1998, in Opelousas General Hospital. Survivors include: his wife, Ruby Bergeron Vidrine of Opelousas; three sons, Paul Calvin Vidrine of Opelousas, Nathan Vidrine of New Roads and Glenn Vidrine of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Cynthia V. Lawless of Lafayette and Rebecca V. Stagg of Baton Rouge; a brother, Joseph Aaron Vidrine of Opelousas; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Laura Wyble, 2 Mar 1998 ARNAUDVILLE - Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Robin Wyble, 72, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church here with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs. Wyble, a native of Arnaudville and resident of Lafayette for 50 years, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, in Lafayette General Medical Center. The daughter of the late Roger Robin of Arnaudville and the former Anita Webre of Cecilia, Mrs. Wyble was employed by J.W. Faulk and Myrtle Place Elementary schools. She was a parishoner at St. John Cathedral in Lafayette and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Lafayette Parish Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include two sons, Roy L. Wyble Jr. of Arnaudville and Kenneth B. Wyble of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Dawn Wyble Boudreaux of Baton Rouge, Laurie Wyble Istre and Christopher Wyble, both of Lafayette, and Roy L. Wyble II, Lane J. Wyble and Cade W. Wyble, all of Arnaudville, and a brother, Lynn Robin Sr. of Arnaudville. Mrs. Wyble was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Wyble Sr. on Sept. 8, 1985; a daughter, Patricia Ann Wyble; her parents; and a brother, Claude Robin. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until the time of services Monday. A rosary will be recited by Monsignor Mallet at 7 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be her three grandsons, Chip, Lane and Chris Wyble, and Chad Boudreaux and Galen Istre. Her brother, Lynn Robin Sr., will serve as honorary pallbearer. Ezia Young, 2 Mar 1998 EUNICE - Funeral services for Mrs. Ezia Young will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony Catholic Church here with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Young died Sunday, March 1, 1998, in Lafayette General Medical Center. She resided in Lafayette for the last year, but prior to that she was a long-time resident of Eunice. Mrs. Young was active on several committees that were for the resident of the Eunice Care Center. Survivors include: two stepsons, Joe Young of Mary Esther, Fla., and Ira Young of Lafayette; two stepdaughters, Juanita McCain of New Orleans and Barbara Platt of Bella Vista, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Aline LaFond Stelly of Eunice and Mrs. Lucy Quebedeaux of Abbeville; her special niece, Mrs. Irene Stagg of Eunice; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Young; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Portalis Andrepont.
