Mr. Bergeron, a resident of Abilene, Texas, and a native of Leonville, died Thursday, October 8, 1998, in a hospital in Lubbock, Texas. He was a graduate of Port Barre High School. Mr. Bergeron was operations manager for Big Tex Crude Oil Company in Abilene, Texas. He moved to Abilene from Atlanta, Ga., five years ago. He was married to Susan Kraatz in Leonville on December 23, 1978. Survivors include: his wife, Susan of Abilene; three sons, Scotty Bergeron, Chris Bergeron and Eric Bergeron, all of Abilene, Texas; a daughter, Amanda Bergeron of Abilene, Texas; his mother, Pearl Bergeron of Opelousas; two brothers, Clyde Bergeron of Opelousas and Michael Bergeron of Atlanta, Ga.; four sisters, Mildred Isreal of Atlanta, Ga., Wendy Bergeron, Rose Bergeron and Rita Bergeron, all of Opelousas. She was a retired elementary school teacher with 43 years of service. Mrs. Bidstrup graduated from Washington High School, received her bachelor's degree in education from U.S.L. and taught in Avoyelles and St. Landry Parish Schools. She was a member of the local, State and National Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Bidstrup was a past secretary/treasurer for the St. Landry Retired Teachers Association for eight years. She was a member of St. MaryÕs Altar Society, AARP, the Catholic Daughters and Historic Washington. Survivors include: two sons, Herman L. Bidstrup of Washington and Dr. Richard Bidstrup of Opelousas; a daughter, Mrs. Marion (Sally) Fruge of Eunice; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was the wife of local businessman Alcide Dominique who was the former founder and operator of Dominique Stockyards of Louisiana. Mistric Jr., 73, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 2911 S. Wilmington St., here with burial in Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Mistric, a resident of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., died Thursday, October 1, 1998, at his residence. He was born December 3, 1924, in Opelousas to the late Walter J. and Helen H. Mistric. He was attending Louisiana State University when he entered the service on May 14, 1943. Mr. Mistric served with the 1012th Engineer Treadway Bridge Company of the 3rd Army in Central Europe, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following the war he received his BS degree from Louisiana State University. He later received his MS and PHD degrees from Texas A&M University. In 1955 Dr. Mistric brought his family to Raleigh, N.C., and was a Professor of Entomology at North Carolina State University until his retirement in 1980. Survivors include: his wife, Betty S. Mistric of Fuquay-Varina, NC; a daughter, Susan M. Mistric and husband, Jerry Pahl, of Rapid City, S.D.; a son, Michael J. Mistric and wife, Susanne, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Jessica Leigh Mistric and Joseph Cody Mistric, both of Fuquay-Varina. Theodore Woods Sr. (Pic), 1 Oct 1998 Funeral services for Mr. Theodore Woods Sr., 90, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park. The Rev. Raymond Guidry is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Woods died Thursday, September 25, 1998, in Opelousas General Hospital. Up until his death, there was a fourth generation of Theodore Woods living. He was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church for 44 years. He loved life. He also was a master at gardening. Survivors include: three sons, Theodore Woods Jr., Rudolph Joseph Woods Sr. and Frank John Woods Sr., all of Houston, Texas; four daughters, Delores A. Miller of Fort Worth, Texas, Laura Mae Toussaint and Josephine W. Simith-Lafountain, both of Opelousas, and Mary Akanji of Houston, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and ten stepgrandchildren.
