She was a life-long member of the Louisiana Memorial United Methodist Church in Opelousas, life member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary of Doctors' Hospital and member of the Opelousas Humane Society. Dezauche and her mother, Miriam Thoms Dezauche, donated the land for Doctors' Hospital of Opelousas. Educated as a nurse at St. Catherine's Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y., Sister exercised her ministry at French Hospital, New York City for more than 20 years. She also served at Our Lady of Princeton Guest House in Princeton, New Jersey, in the province of Quebec, Canada, at St. Vincent de Paul, Tarrytown, New York. Survivors include: his mother, Lucy Stelly Taylor of Arnaudville; three brothers, Jessie Taylor and his wife Priscilla of Lafayette, Jerry Taylor and his wife Jody of Opelousas and Jeffery Taylor of Arnaudville; three sisters, Deanna Zerangue of Breaux Bridge, Marjorie Miller and her husband Val of Plaisance and Delia Lagrange of Arnaudville; a special friend, Barbara Boudreaux of Toledo Bend, Texas; three adopted children, Barbara Broussard of Breaux Bridge, Debra Bryan of Milton and Tommy Dugas of Youngsville; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his father, Moise Taylor; and an adopted daughter, Carol Ann Breaux. Visiting hours were observed from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. today until time of services. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jessie Taylor, Jerry Taylor, Jeffery Taylor, Val Miller, Lonnie Zerangue and Shannon Lagrange. Honorary pallbearer will be Glenn Menard. Melancon Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.   Mary Washington EUNICE - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Hazel Washington, 86, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Mathilda Catholic Church here with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Joseph Tyson will conduct the services. Mrs. Washington, a resident of Eunice, died Friday, June 18, 1999, at her residence. Survivors include: three sons, Paul Washington and Amos Washington, both of Eunice, and Emanus Washington of Opelousas; two sisters, Mildred Pickney and Enola Joubert, both of Opelousas; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Washington was preceded in death by a grandchild. A wake will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday in the Bishop Ceaser Hall in Eunice. Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
