Hundley, 80, of Mowata, La. was held at 11:00am Friday, December 27, 2002 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata, La. Mr. Hundley died at 9:45am Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at a Crowley nursing home. Interment was in the St. Lawrence Cemetery Mausoleum. Mr. Hundley was a retired rice farmer having farmed in the Mowata community the majority of his life. He served with the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member and lifetime trustee of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and member of the Parish Council, The Holy Name Society and the Perpetual Adoration Society. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus council in Eunice, La. He coached Little League baseball for many years and was the first Little League coach of Mowata Baseball. Mr. Hundley is survived by two daughters, Debra “Bedo” H. Stafford and her husband Fred of Lafayette, La. and Rosemary H. Minch and her husband, Randy, of Moline, Il; five sons, William, Kelly Hundley, II, Nicholas William Hundley, Sr. and his wife Clara, James Patrick Hundley, Sr. and his wife Cathy, Michael Charles Hundley, Sr. and his wife, Katherine, all of Mowata, La., and Douglas Joseph Hundley and his wife Kathy of Lafayette, La., 30 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mr. Morris, a resident of Eunice, passed away at 3:40am Monday, December 16, 2002, at Eunice Community Medical Center after a long illness. Mr. Morris retired with the US Air Force after 22 ½ years of service. He was a past Chief of Police for 5 ½ with the City of Eunice, a security guard for Moosa Memorial Hospital (now Eunice Community Medical Center), a guard at Dresser Industries and a Deputy for the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. He is survived by three brothers, S. Jasper Morris of Chesapeake, Va., Thomas M. Morris and Clark Morris both of Eunice; four sisters, Betty Mitchel of Waco, Tx., Donna Lambert of Colmesneil, Tx, Bonnie Krueger of San Antonio, and Charlene Yarborough of Houston. Chuck played football for the University of Houston, was a member of the H Association, an Academic All-American, a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.
