Jean Bte. Ardoin.

Mr. Jean Bte. Ardoin, one of the old Creole landmarks of this parish, died 
at his home in Chataignier on the 5th, and was interred in the cemetery at 
that place Saturday. He died at the age of seventy-two years.

Mr. Ardoin, by dint and enterprise, had accumulated some $40,-000, and it is 
said of him that he would never refuse a friend in needy circumstances.

To his bereaved family and friends, the Clarion tenders its condolence.
