MRS. JACQUES ARNAUD DIED AT FRIENDS HOME ON FRIDAY

Mrs. Jacques Arnaud, a native of Arnaudville, died at the home of Felix 
Chachere in this city on last Friday night at 9 o'clock. The funeral left 
Opelousas on the following morning, and the remains of the estimable lady were 
interred in the Arnaudville cemetery upon reaching there after services had 
been held in the Catholic Church.

Mrs. Arnaud was 75 years of age at the time of her death. She was a life-long 
resident of Arnaudville, where her family is held in the highest esteem. Her 
husband, the late Jacques Arnaud, was a member of the Legislature from this 
parish and was also Justice of the Peace in the Arnaudville section for a 
number of years.

She is survived by one son, George Arnaud, Sr., a substantial citizen of 
Arnaudville, and several grand-children and other relative. To these The 
Clarion extends its sincerest sympathy.
