PORT BARRE - Funeral services for Mr. Charles Bellard, age 81, was held on 
Friday, September 30, 2005, at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.

Father Jeff deblanc officiated the services. Burial followed in the Old 
Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Mr. Bellard, a resident of Opelousas, died at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, 
September 28, 2005, at Doctor's Hospital of Opelousas. He was a veteran of 
the U. S. Army served in World War II and a construction worker. Mr. Bellard 
was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre.

Survivors include: two sons, Donald Bellard and wife, Linda of Port Barre; 
and Charles Lee Bellard of Opelousas; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Tatman and 
husband, Connie; Wanda Robin and Sandra Smithey, all of Opelousas; two 
brothers, Leonce Bellard and Isaac Bellard, both of Port Barre; two sisters, 
Hazel Bihm of Opelousas; and Mamie Daigle of Lake Charles; eight 
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bellard was preceded in death by his wife, Della Doucet Bellard; his 
parents: Noah Bellard, Sr. and Hazel Janise Bellard; two brothers: Sidney 
Bellard, Sr. and Noah Bellard, Jr.; and one sister, Virginia Bellard Matte.

Pallbearers were Donald Bellard, Mathew Bellard, Connie Tatman, Shane 
Tatman, Brock Benoit, and Jude Miller.

Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre, Louisiana was in charge of the 
arrangements.
