BERTRAND One of the leading merchants of rural St. Landry, Albert T. Bertrand, died at the family home in Prairie Ronde last Saturday afternoon, aged 36 years, 4 months and 21 days. The funeral was held Sunday morning and interment took place at the Catholic cemetery in this city the same afternoon at 2 o'clock, following services in the Catholic church. Mr. Bertrand, though quite a young man, was regarded as one of the best business men in his section and was rapidly forging to the front when death suddenly called him from wife, children and loved ones. A man of exemplary character, sober, honest and industrious, his death will prove a distinctive loss to family, relatives, friends and associates, not only in Prairie Ronde but in other sections where he was known and highly esteemed. The Clarion feels deeply his sudden demise and extends its sympathies to family and relatives in the time of their bereavement. Additional Comments: NOTE: Albert T. Bertrand is buried in section 4 of the Saint Landry Catholic Church cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. www.findagrave.com memorial # 102481537 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/stlandry/obits/b/bertrand5674gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/lafiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
