DEJEAN JOIN GREAT MAJORITY IN THE PAST WEEK. The death of Mr. Jules Bloch, one of our oldest and most esteemed citizens, ocurred on the 5th instant, at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. William Burr, in this city. Mr. Bloch had recently lost his beloved helpmate, and in her death he suffered inconsolable sorrow, which seemed to hasten the disease with which he was aflicted. The deceased had long been a respected and valued member of this community and there are many friends left behind who will mourn his departure. The funeral ceremonies took place at the Catholic church and cemetery last Saturday afternoon. Peace to his ashes. Additional Comments: NOTE: Jules Bloch is buried in section 9 of the Saint Landry Catholic Church cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. www.findagrave.com meorial # 105395912 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/stlandry/obits/b/bloch5618gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/lafiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
