The deceased leaves a wife, who was Miss Rhoda Hines, and two small children to murn (sic) his untimely end. Mr. Briley was a young man of exemplary habits and had a host of friends. His remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery in Grand Prairie, from where he had moved about two years ago. He was a member of Opelousas Household No. 109, Columbian Woodmen. Owing to the distance and the inclement weather members of the order could not attend the funeral. The Clarion sympathizes with the family in their great bereavement.
