Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com May 12, 2015, 5:01 pm St. Landry Clarion (Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, March 26, 1921, Image 5 Mrs. Gustave Cahanin, aged 53 years, 2 months and 17 days, passed away at the family residence, North Court street, last Monday afternoon at about 5 o'clock. Funeral services and interment took place at the Catholic church and cemetery Tuesday evening at 4:30 o'clock. The deceased had been in ill health some time and her life was long despaired of. She leaves to mourn her demise a number of children and a large circles of relatives. Her maiden name was Amy and her husband, the late Gustave Cahanin, a prominent merchant of Opelousas, died a number of years ago.
