DIED. - In this town, on the 20th inst., THERESE EMILIE, aged 2 years, 4 months 
and 26 days, daughter of Gustave Cahanin and Emma Amy.

This lovely bud, so young, so fair,
Called hence by earthly doom,
Just come to show how sweet a flower,
In Paradise would bloom;
Ere sin could harm or sorrow fade,
Death came with friendly care,
The opening bud to Heaven conveyed
And bade it blossom there.

NOTE: Therese Emilie Cahanin is buried at the Saint Landry Church Cemetery, 
located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
