Miss Alice Caiilouet.

Miss Alice Caillouet, daughter of Mr. Geo. Caillouet and Irma Lamorandier, 
died at the residence of her father, in Opelousas, on Thursday, July 5, 
1906, aged 16 years, 5 months and 24 days.

The taking of of (sic) this lovely girl, just blooming into womanhood, at 
the threshold of an interesting career and a realization of the fond hopes 
of parents, was received with unfeigned sadness by the community, and every 
heart went out to the bereaved ones in hearty sympathy.

An operation for appendicitis had been performed two days before her death, 
and there was hopes for her recovery. But the guiding hand of the One above 
willed otherwise: a soul at rest, a mound in the graveyard, tears and Death 
is satiated - until, until!

The Clarion extends its heartfelt condolences to the grief stricken family.

NOTE: Alice Caillouet is buried in section 10 of the Saint Landry Catholic 
Church cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
