St. Landry Clarion (Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, April 26, 1902, Image 1

-Died, near Opelousas, at the residence of her son-in-law, Ambroise Valin, on 
Tuesday, April 22, 1902, Mrs. Pierre Carriere, nee Celeste Fontaine, aged 84 
years and 8 months. Her remains were interred at the Catholic Church here on 
Wednesday. Deceased was a native of St. Landry parish. She is the the (sic) 
mother and great grand mother of 97 children, all living.

NOTE: Celeste Carriere nee Fontaine is buried at the Saint Landry Catholic Church 
Cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
