DIED - In Grand Coteau, in this Parish, on the 23d instant, Mrs. Celinie 
Prejean, wife of Onezime Caruthers, aged 52 years.

The death of this kind and amiable lady, is a loss, irreparable to her 
family and to her friends. Through all the sufferings of the many lasy years 
of her life, her natural goodness of heart, her patience, her abandon of 
self, her warm attachments and generous nature, rendered all the attentions 
to her sick couch, but pleasure offerings.

The pri*a* sorrows that follow the loss of wife and mother, are too sacred 
for common language. The desolation of home, the waiting's of lone ones, can 
only be alleviated by the confident assurance, that she is among the 
"greatest in the kingdom of Heaven."
