DEATHS:

MRS. Z. T. CARY, SR.

Mary Isabel Soileau, wife of Z. T. Cary, Jr., prominent planter of the 
Lewisburg neighborhood, died at the family residence at Lewisburg on Friday 
afternoon at 2:15 after an illness of long duration.

Mrs. Cary was a member of one of the largest and most prominent families of 
St. Landry and Acadia parishes. The deceased was 37 years, 10 months and 9 
days old, and leaves several children, her husband and a large number of her 
relatives to mourn her demise.

The funeral services were conducted at the Opelousas Catholic Church, 
interment being made in the local Catholic cemetery on Saturday afternoon at 
1 o'clock. A large number of the friends of the Cary and Soileau families 
followed the funeral cortege to the Opelousas graveyard.

Mary Isabel Soileau Cary is buried in section 12 at the St. Landry Catholic 
Church cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, LA.
