The taking off of this lovable character and true Christian woman leaves a void in a large family oricle that can not be filled. "Aunt Clem" was not only the adoration of her relatives, but she was dearly loved by all who knew her. She had never lived anywhere but in Opelousas, and she knew everybody and everybody knew her. She was buried in the Catholic cemetery Wednesday evening at five o'clock, and the large attendance at her funeral testified to the esteem in which she was was (sic) held in this community. To the grief-stricken family, and particularly to "Uncle Theo.," who is thus deprived of the companion of his life and the solace of his old age, the Clarion extends its heartfelt condolence.
