DIED - Near Opelousas on the 2d inst., Mr. RODOLPHE CHACHERE, aged 48 years, 5 
months and 7 days.

Mr. Chachere was an energetic and industrious citizen - one of those men whose 
death is a loss to the community in which they live. How much greater is the 
loss to his afflicted family! Mr. C. was at one time connected with our local 
press. We tender to his bereaved widow and orphans our warmest sympathy.
