B. CHACHERE Long Identified With This Country, Joins the Great Majority. The death of Alexander B. Chachere, which occurred at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, June 23, 1910, takes away from this community a citizen prominently identified with its interests all of his life. Born and raised here, he was known throughout Southwestern Louisiana, and "Uncle Alex" was loved by all those with whom he came in contact. Mr. Chachere was 68 years, 3 months and 16 days at the time of his death. Interment took place at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, after the funeral rites had been solemnized in the Catholic church. He leaves a widow and several children to mourn his loss. Additional Comments: NOTE: Alexandre Beaurepaire Chachere was the son of Beaurepaire Prospere Chachere and Eugenie Alexandrine Lavergne. He was born on 7 March 1842 (GC Ch.: v. 1, p. 202). He married Josephine McComptom on 30 May 1866 (Opel. Ch.: v. 2, pg. 347).
