St. Landry Clarion (Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, May 24, 1902, Image 1

DIED. - Marie Bertha Meche, wife of J. Veillon Chachere, died at the family 
residence, near Opelousas, on Sunday, May 18, 1902, aged 32 years, 8 months 
and 17 days. The death of this esteemable woman is made sadder by the fact 
that she was taken away after only a few years of wedded life. The remains 
were interred in the Catholic Cemetery, in Opelousas, on Monday, morning at 
10:30 o'clock. The Clarion extends condolences.

NOTE: Marie Bertha Meche Chachere is buried at the Saint Landry Catholic 
Church cemetery located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
