Berchman Charchere

  Funeral services for Berchman J. Chachere, 77, of Opelousas, will be held at 
2 p.m. today at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Burial will follow in 
Bellevue Cemetery, in Opelousas. 
  Chachere, a resident of Opeloiusas died at 10:15, Thursday at Opelousas 
General Hospital. 
  Survivors include: two brothers, Albert "Sam" Chachere of Opelousas, Frank 
Chachere of Washington, La; two sisters, Mrs Lillian Mayne of Opelousas, Mrs. 
Allie "June" Carriere of Opelousas; and a host of nieces and nephews. 
  Chachere was a veteran of WWII where he served in the U.S. Army and was a 
retired carpenter. 
  Sibille Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
