Death of Mrs. J. L. Chapman

Mrs. J. L. Chapman of Krotz Springs, this parish, died recently at a hospital 
in New Orleans where she went for medical attention and was buried at Melville 
her former home, Sunday, May 28. Mrs. Chapman's age 70, but the last timeshe 
was in Opelousas she appeared hale and hearty and good for a long span of 
life. She was an enthusiastic member of the Opelousas chapter of the Daughters 
of the Confederacy.
