(Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, January 15, 1916, Image 1 MARY YOUNG CHILDS, On January 5th the soul of Mary Young Childs, beloved wife of Dr. Wm. Childs, prominant physician of Church Point, winged its way heavenward and hundreds of friends were left to mourn the unexpected departure of a true and noble woman. Mrs. Childs was a member of one of the most prominent St. Landry and Evangeline parishes. The deceased was buried on Jan. 6th at 2 o'clock p. m., in the Bellevue cemetery, where a large crowd of friends witnessed the impressive ceremonies. Mrs. Childs leaves four sons and three daughters, as well as her husband to mourn her departure.
