Clements. The deceased was formerly a resident of this town and a member of the firm of Clements & Wilson. He served two terms as Mayor of Opelousas and had many warm friends in this community, in New Orleans and Acadia parish. He was one of the patriot band that took part in the memorable fight in New Orleans, on September 14, 1874, and bore himself like a hero on that historic occasion. All honor to his memory!
