CORTI DIES AT 47

Stephen Corti, one of the best known members of the Opelousas Italian 
colony, expired at his home in this city on Friday, December 19. He was a 
native of Italy, having been born there on January 20, 1872, and had been a 
resident of Opelousas for many years. The deceased was a member of the 
Woodmen of the World and was well thought of by his fellow countrymen as 
well as by his friends and acquaintances of Opelousas and vicinity. Funeral 
services were conducted on the following day, with interment at the Catholic 
cemetery.

NOTE: Stephen Corti is buried at the Saint Landry Catholic Church cemetery 
located in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
