ALEXANDER CUMMINGS PASSES AWAY

Alexander Cummings, aged 68 years, died at the home of his son John Cummings 
at Coulee Croche on Sunday, July 18th at 6 o'clock p. m.

The funeral took place at the Catholic Church on Monday afternoon at 4 
o'clock at Church Point, La.

The deceased was born in Grand Coteau, La., in 1851. His father, Jeresine 
Cummings, died when he was but a year old. He then came to Coulee Croche 
with his mother before the Civil War, and spent the remainder of his life 
here and is the last of a family of five to die.
