Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com June 14, 2015, 5:31 pm St. Landry Clarion (Opelousas, La.) 1890-1921, January 24, 1920, Image 5 DIED. - At 1:30 Friday morning Mrs. Melinda Dailey, widow of the late Capt. Lawrence Dailey, at her home near the high school. The funeral will take place today (Saturday) from the home and interment will be made in the Protestant cemetery. Mrs. Dailey had resided in Opelousas only a short while. Two daughters, Miss Belle Dailey, teacher in the high school, and Mrs. Aleck Burleigh of Shuteston are left to mourn their mother. Tha Clarion extends its condolence to the bereaved family.
